What We Do

Every Girl Deserves a Future

We believe that caring for orphaned children is not just our responsibility, but our mission  to protect their rights, nurture their dreams, and give them the foundation for a brighter future.

Ending Child Marriage/ Violence Against Women And Girls

Youth Fraternity for Change (YFC) works to end child marriage in Uganda through empowering girl and boy champions, engaging stakeholders, and raising awareness via media and community dialogues. They also support survivors with counseling, legal aid, and rescue operations. Economic empowerment initiatives help vulnerable girls build resilience and improve their livelihoods.

Girl/ Women Economic Empowerment

Youth Fraternity for Change (YFC) empowers vulnerable and married girls through vocational skills training and support to start sustainable income-generating activities. Skills taught include tailoring, hairdressing, baking, smart agriculture, and more, along with provision of tools and start-up capital. YFC also offers entrepreneurship and financial literacy training, and promotes Village Saving and Lending Associations (VSLAs) to enhance financial inclusion and economic independence for girls and young women.

Girl Education

Youth Fraternity for Change (YFC) promotes girls’ education as a key strategy to prevent child marriage by addressing barriers such as lack of school fees, uniforms, and sanitary products. Through “Dare to Dream” school clubs, community dialogues, and support for families via income-generating activities, YFC creates an enabling environment for girls to stay in school. The program also directly provides scholastic materials to motivate and retain girls in education.

Girl Leadership

Youth Fraternity for Change (YFC) empowers adolescent girls with life and leadership skills to build their confidence, self-esteem, and decision-making abilities in a male-dominated world. Through school-based “Dare to Dream” clubs and workshops for out-of-school girls, YFC creates safe spaces where girls can develop essential life skills, set goals, and receive mentorship. These skills help girls navigate challenges, build resilience, and make informed life choices.

Social Intergration

To facilitate the emotional healing and social integration of orphaned children by organizing counseling sessions, support groups, and recreational activities that encourage friendship, trust, and self-confidence.

Human Rights advocay

To promote the rights of orphaned children and advocate for their protection, ensuring that they are provided with equal opportunities and treated with dignity and respect.
